We shot several senior sessions this week (7 to be exact). I don’t have time to post them all, but more will follow as I get them processed.
Here are two from this week.
On Wednesday, this beautiful, fun blonde walked into my studio with loads of personality. We had such a great time and captured some of my favorite images yet this season. This is Hollie Adelmund from Jackson High School.
And then this next girl we shot on Friday night. Her name is Madeleine Courvoisier (you may recognize the last name because her dad is Dave Courvoisier who used to be an anchor on KFVS 12). She lives in Las Vegas but they were visiting the area this week and stopped in for a senior session. As you’ll see from the images below, this girl has a gorgeous smile and beautiful long locks of hair and she’s a very talented soccer player as well. It was a joy to shoot her senior session. Here are a few favorites from Friday evening.

We’ve been CRAZY busy the past few weeks (mostly with seniors and weddings). I’ve posted several weddings here on the blog, but I haven’t had a chance to post many seniors so here are a few from the past 2 weeks.
Posted below (in the following order) are Karlee Bauknecht from Jackson, Valerie Drewett from Jackson, Kaylen Knepp from Jackson, Shelby Reed from Meadow Heights and Katie Winter from Saxony Lutheran.
FYI – if you’re wanting to book a senior session for this summer (or any session for that matter), please call soon. We’re booked solid for the next 2 weeks and there are very few openings left in July. And before you know it, summer’s over when school starts back up in early August (boooo!)
Don’t wait until the last second and then rely on uncle Bob to take your pictures. You’re only a senior once! Do your images right. You deserve it!

Here’s a sneak peek from a wedding we shot last weekend.
This is my pastor’s daughter and I knew it was going to be a great wedding because we shot their engagement pictures and had a blast.
The wedding was no different. Super sweet couple, beautiful settings, fun wedding party . . . what more could I ask for? Well . . . the only glitch in the day was the rain. It was BEAUTIFUL up until 5 minutes before the wedding started and the skies opened up and dumped about an inch of rain in 10 minutes.
Anyway it cleared up and the wedding got started a little late, and we had a really nice day from then on.

This afternoon, we shot Shawn Taylor and Kim Fisher’s engagement session, and let me tell you (it was blazing, HOT!). But they were troopers and pushed through the heat. And it’s a good thing they did, because we captured some pretty darn nice images.
I had been wanted to try a few new posing and lighting ideas that had been rolling around in my head and this was the perfect opportunity. See below:

Allie Wolz is one of our senior models from Cape Central HS, and we shot her senior session on Thursday night. I swear this girl controls the skies. Last time we shot her (back at the beginning of April), we had amazing skies to work with and this time . . . Oh My!

Back in April, Barry Brueggeman (age 27 / former Quincy University Football star) was killed in a one vehicle accident just a month before the birth of his first child. I work with Barry’s wife, Deana at Jackson Middle School and I was just shocked when I heard the news. I think we all were. It was just a terribly tragic situation.
Well, Barry’s legacy is sure to be carried on by his son, Keegan. I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Keegan today. He is just 3 weeks old and he may just be the most photogenic newborn ever!
I’ve heard every cloud has a silver lining. Well this sliver lining is named Keegan Bear Brueggeman.

This was the second of our double header wedding weekend (you can see the Friday wedding by clicking here). We shot this wedding on Saturday, May 30. It was a long day, we left at 6:30 AM and got back home around 11:00 PM, but we had a great time.
Jonathan and Patricia and their families were just a hoot (see the hillbilly wedding outfits below and you’ll see what I mean)

We had a double header wedding weekend on May 29/30. Nick Mayberry and Wendy Blankenship got married on Friday night, May 29 and then we had another wedding on Saturday (that sneak peek can be by clicking here)
This wedding was such a joy to shoot. Everyone was so fun and easy-going. And Nick and Wendy are just the best couple ever. Their love is so genuine and heartfelt. Sometimes, you meet a couple that you just know is going to last. This is one!

So our good friends, Beth and Jason St. John (who in many ways are responsible for the launch of this whole photography thing back in Oct. 2006 with the birth of their first daughter, Katy) just had another little girl. Her name is Margaret Beth St. John – A.K.A. – Maggie, and she is Super adorable!
Well, I’ve had this idea for a while now about a concept shot of a baby sleeping in a hammock, but haven’t really had the opportunity to try it . . . until now. Enter beautiful baby and parents who are open to the idea and Viola! Idea turns into photograph.

Jason and Roseann Bruns’ daughter, Kaitlin had her first communion this year and I asked them to bring her in for a session. Unfortunately, time got away from me and I didn’t get around to shooting the session until just this week (like 2 months or something after her actual first communion). Better late than never, eh?
