Richardet-Ernst Wedding – Sneak Peek

Monday, November 30th, 2009

Back in Oct. we shot Laura Ernst and Jesse Richardet’s wedding at their home/farm in Perryville.  It was a beautiful day and for the reception, they set up the biggest tent I have EVER seen.  Jesse and Laura were both so laid back and up for any idea we had.  They were so great and totally fun.  It really makes our job so much easier (and enjoyable) when the couple is relaxed and trust us and our ideas.  Then as a result, they get some pretty awesome wedding pictures like the ones you’ll see below.

Congrats Laura and Jesse and thanks for asking us to be a part of your special day!

Tractors, Trucks and Tyler

Saturday, November 28th, 2009

We went out to the farm with Tyler Seabaugh and got some pretty cool shots with his 4-wheeler and his truck and a barn and a grain bin and an old tractor and lots of other “boy-stuff”.  It was a great session.  Here’s a little peek at some of Tyler’s senior pictures.

Great sunset from tonight

Wednesday, November 25th, 2009

We shot Eric Law’s senior session this evening and we had the perfect sunset over the lake so we grabbed this shot before the sun went down completely.

State Cheerleading Champion

Tuesday, November 24th, 2009

This is Rachel Schweiss.  She came to us from Nixa, MO which is about a 5 hour drive away (near Springfield, MO).  Her cheerleading team just went to state and won the whole thing.

Here are a few from her session.  It was great meeting you Rachel.  Thanks again for choosing us to capture a few moments from your senior year.

We shot a 6-month session for Elayna Kiplinger a few weeks ago (you may remember her from a blog post I made back in Sept. when we did her 3-month session).  Anyway, her mother, Jennifer came over to pick up her prints this evening and after she got them home, she sent us this ever so thoughtful e-mail.

“Thanks again so much for the gorgeous pics I picked up this evening. They were so awesome! I loved them all! I had to hurry home and put them straight up in the frames to enjoy. Rachel is right, the 11×14 is mesmorizing. The wallets were absolutely breathtaking and usually that can’t be said about your everyday wallet size photo. Then again, Tyson is not your everyday run of the mill photographer either. Thank you again so much for your talent and patience with my 6 month old baby girl. I will cherish these photos always.”
-Jennifer Kiplinger

Thanks again for the kind words.  We look forward to your next session in Feb.

Here are a few of the pictures that Jennifer now has hanging in her home.

A Boy and his guitars

Sunday, November 22nd, 2009

This is Casey Benefield.  We shot his session on Oct. 24 which turned out to be the perfect time this year for fall colors (In fact the leaves were all off the trees by Nov. 1).  It was a great session with a great young man.   This kid is just “one of those kids”.  Keep an eye on him because he’s definitely going places . . .  Super talented, great personality, friendly, well mannered.  Did I mention talented?  Man . . . you should hear this kid play guitar.  If you haven’t heard him, you should check him out some time.  His band is called “The Illustrated Man”.  Click here to check out their music on MySpace.  Perhaps he’ll let me shoot his album cover when he gets his first big record deal ;-)

Here are a few favorite images from Casey’s session (P.S.  Thanks to the guys down at Rude Dog Pub in Cape for letting us shoot there).

gift-card-sale

Mark your calendars for our one day only Gift Card Sale – Friday, Nov. 27 (the day after Thanksgiving).  This is our BIGGEST SALE OF THE YEAR so don’t miss out!!

Perhaps you want to give the gift of a portrait session to a friend or family member this Christmas.
Or maybe you know a senior graduating from H.S. next year that will need senior pictures.
Or how about someone you know that is expecting a baby soon.
Or perhaps it’s time for you personally to replace that outdated family picture on the wall.

Well . . . in any case, our double your money gift card sale would be perfect for you.

That’s right, for one day only (more specifically, the day after Thanksgiving), you can buy a Tyson Zahner Photography gift certificate for cash towards portraits, and we will match you dollar for dollar.  For example, if you give us $50, we’ll give you a $100 gift card (this deal is good up to $100 – for which we’ll give you a $200 gift card).  Pretty good deal, eh?

Quit teasing me Tyson.  How do I order one of these cards and save loads of cash at the same time?

Well, I’m glad you asked.  All you have to do is visit our blog on Nov. 27th (between midnight and midnight) to place your order.  All gift cards will be sold online through our blog.  So take note of this address -  http://www.tysonzahnerphotography.com/blog and visit on the day after Thanksgiving to buy your card.

That’s all.  Now go tell your friends (and don’t forget to mark your own calendar too)

(P.S.  If you’re not already subscribed to our blog, click here to subscribe – http://www.tysonzahnerphotography.com/blog/subscribe-here.  Then you’ll be sure to never miss a new promotion or one of our kick-butt images)

Alicia on the railroad

Sunday, November 15th, 2009

This is Alicia Zoellner from Perryville High School (PHS – home of the pirates and my alma mater).  This girl was a natural in front of the camera.  She was beautiful, she needed very little direction when it came to posing, and the camera loved her.  We got some amazing images from her session.  This is one of my favorites.

IF . . .

Tuesday, November 10th, 2009

If you can start the day without caffeine,
If you can always be cheerful, ignoring aches and pains,
If you can resist complaining and boring people with your troubles,
If you can eat the same food every day and be grateful for it,
If you can understand when your loved ones are too busy to give you any time,
If you can overlook it when those you love take it out on you when through no fault of yours, somthing goes wrong,
If you can take criticism and blame without resentment,
If you can resist treating a rich friend better than a poor friend,
If you can face the world without lies and deceit,
If you can conquer tension without medical help,
If you can relax without liquor,
If you can sleep without the aid of drugs,
If you can honestly say that deep in your heart that you have no prejudice against creed, color, religion, gender preference, or politics . . .

Then you have reached the same level of development as your dog.

I know it’s totally unrelated to most of what I put on my blog, but I loved this so I thought I’d share.  What an eye-opener.  I’m currently reading a book by Larry Winget called, “Shut Up, Stop Whining and Get a Life”, recommended to me by a friend and ran across this little nugget and thought it was so good I just had to share.  If you haven’t read Larry’s book, check it out.  It will p*ss you off, but set you straight.
