Most of you know the news already, but for those of you that don’t, consider this the official announcement. Rachel is pregnant! Yes, we were as surprised by this news as everyone else. In fact we had our application in at LFCS for adoption #2 when we found out. Rachel is about to go into her 13th week and we went to the OB yesterday and got to hear the heartbeat (yeahhhh!!!) . Due date falls right around May 19th. We’ll keep you posted via the blog as we find out new information (like gender – I’m hoping for another boy, but I’m outnumbered by . . . let’s see . . . . EVERYONE).
Anyway, considering that no blog post would be complete without a picture – here’s a shot of Rachel that we took when we first found out (back at the end of Sept.). I don’t imagine we’ll see abs like this again anytime soon so we figured we’d capture them while we could. We’re going to try and take more pictures of the belly throughout the pregnancy to show the progression. So stay tuned!

What a fantastic announcement. When I heard (about a week ago), I truly cried with joy!! Rachel, those abs look great, but I can’t wait to see them covered by a BIG belly!!!

Tyson & Rachel, I am so thrilled to hear about your miracle on the way. I bet Zane will be a great big brother! May is a wonderful time to have a baby (Eva was due May 13; arrived May 2). Bob was asking Eli about names recently (after seeing the St. Francis billboard) and Eli thought good names would be Zeke and Basketballman. If it’s a boy, you could probably steal Zeke, but I think he would be mad if you took Basketballman.
And, I have NEVER had abs like Rachel…but…I have a feeling she won’t mind kissing them good-bye in a few months! (I bet she’ll get them back!)

YEAH!!! What an absolute miracle! So happy for all of you…what an amazing time and what amazing abs your lovely wife has…totally jealous! It won’t take her long to get back there…when you start out with a tummy like that it’s not as bad as the rest of us:)

We have been following your blog since you first adopted. What an inspiration your family has been to us. We searched under “adoption” when we first thought that adoption would be our route to become a family, when your beautiful video pulled up. Watching your family through your blog helped guide and comfort us while we patiently waited for our “match’. Any worries, concern’s or hesitations throughout the long process that would pop up, we would sit together and see your happy family, confirming we were on the right path. Now, holding our little Myles, life couldn’t get any better. Looking back, any source of comfort and inspiration was a godsend. You gave us hope, when hope seemed to be fading. Thank you for that. We are so happy for you and your family!
