I haven’t touched a computer almost 3 weeks!

Friday, January 28th, 2011

We closed on our new house/studio on Jan. 10 and we’re finally starting to get settled in. I slept in my own bed last night for the time in weeks (oh what a relief that was!) and I just unpacked my computer out of the boxes today so this blog post is literally my first time using it since we moved. Moving is definitely a challenge, but moving AND doing construction/remodeling all at the same time is madness! We’ve been living on the upstairs level of our home while the main floor and basement (the studio) have been getting worked on. Things are finally starting to come together and we’ve got some really EXCITING things planned for our clients this year. We can’t wait to show you the new studio and the new viewing theater and the grounds and so much more. It’s going to be an exciting exciting year. Thanks for hanging in there and being patient with us while we move. I have a lot of e-mails to catch up on. I apologize that it’s taken me this long to respond to some of them but we’re finally starting to get back to normal around here.

Pictures of the new place will follow in the next few weeks after we finish the remodel.

New home, New studio, New Location!

Monday, January 10th, 2011

Well, it is official. We closed on our new house yesterday afternoon.  Our studio will still be in our home.  It’s just that our home will be in a new location.

We are very excited about all of the new shooting opportunities that the new property will bring (8 acres, a pond, a creek, a pool, a 4000 square foot basement for our studio!, spiral stair case, hard wood floors, and so much more).

Unfortunately, our studio will be closed for the rest of January as we get moved in, settled, and start remodeling the new place. We’ll start shooting sessions again in February. Thanks for your patience during this transition. We’re excited to see you all soon and show you the new place.  Until then, here are a few pictures of the exterior to hold you over.

We’re homeless!!

Monday, January 10th, 2011

We just closed on our old house this morning, and we will close on our new house this afternoon, so technically for the next few hours, Rachel and I don’t own a home. Don’t worry about us though. We have until next Monday to move so we’re not really without a place to live. More details on the new place to follow soon . . . .

What is the Modeling Program?

Sunday, January 9th, 2011

Yesterday, I posted a link to our model application and since then, I’ve received numerous questions about what the model program is . . . I guess I should have explained that before asking for applications. So here you have it . . .

Each year, we accept a limited number of new models for our Photography Studio. Our models receive free photo shoots to help us try out new sets, new backgrounds, new locations, etc. and build our portfolio for the upcoming senior season.

As a model you will have the opportunity to receive:

  • Free Photo Shoots
  • Free Facebook images
  • Amazing Pictures with our newest sets and locations before anyone else
  • Earn Cash
  • Earn Credit toward your senior pictures
  • Earn prizes (like LCD TV, Apple iPad & Laptop)
  • Win trips to Exotic locations (last year we went to Cozumel, Mexico)
  • and more . . .

We are currently accepting model applications.  If you are class of 2012 or 2013, and you are interested in modeling for our photography studio, please click here (or on the ad below) to fill out an application.
