First Newborn of the New Year.

Wednesday, January 4th, 2012

This is Audrymae and she’s our first newborn of the New Year.  (Well . . . she wasn’t born in the New Year, but she’s the first newborn we’ve shot in 2012).  Anyway, we love to see our past wedding clients show up with a new addition, so it was our joy to photograph Jesse and Laura’s first born baby.  (you may remember their wedding pictures from back in 2009 . . . if not, click here for a refresher).

Here’s a few favorites from little Audry’s session yesterday.

7 day old newborn – Silas James Sparks

Thursday, April 28th, 2011

We had such a great photo shoot yesterday morning. Silas is 7 days old, and he just slept like a . . . well . . . like a baby.   He made my job too easy.

Here are a few from Silas’ session.  Welcome to the world Silas James Sparks

My Little Models – Zane and Zoe

Sunday, February 27th, 2011

Zoe turned 9-months old yesterday (and Zane turned 3 a little over a month ago) so we took the kids into the studio and did a quick photo shoot with them.  They’re growing like little weeds.  Here are a few favorites from Zane and Zoe’s photo shoot today.

Zoe’s 6-month pictures

Thursday, December 16th, 2010

Zoe turned 6-months on Thanksgiving and she’s already doing SOOOO much.  She pulls up on EVERYTHING (her crib, tables, toys, baskets, our legs, and so on).  The girl LOVES to be on her feet.  She even lets go and tries to balance on her own.  She manages about 1 second before grabbing back on, but she gets so excited and proud of herself when she’s on her feet by herself.  It’s really funny.  I have no doubt she’ll be walking by 9-months.

Anyway . . . here is a little wall collage we put together from her 6-month photo shoot.  Each image below is a separate print.  They will be framed individually and will hang separately side by side in her room like this to spell out her name.  This works great for kids with 3 or 4 or even 5 letters in their name.

Welcome to the world, Myles

Baby Myles paid us a visit yesterday for some newborn pictures.  What a cute little guy.  Here are a few favorites from the session.

Maternity session for a long-time friend

Saturday, September 25th, 2010

This is one of my bestest friends from High School, Cori Wilson. She and her husband, Justin are expecting their second child (a little girl) in a month and so they came over with their adorable son, Xavier to get some maternity pictures.

Thanks Cori and Justin. It was so great to spend some time with the two of you this evening! Rachel and I couldn’t be more happy for you. Here’s to a safe delivery and a beautifully healthy little girl.

My little girl is 3-months old . . . and prettier than ever!

Thursday, August 26th, 2010

Do I sound like a proud papa or what?  Yeah Zoe is exactly 3 months old today so of course we took some 3-month pictures. It’s amazing how much she’s changed in just a short time.

Most of the time, Rachel and I both just stare at her and can hardly believe how beautiful she is (good thing she got her mama’s looks eh?)

Here’s just a few from my little lady’s session.

Zahner family update, a video & some newborn pictures

Monday, May 31st, 2010

Well, we came home from the hospital on Friday, I shot a wedding on Saturday, we shot Zoe’s official newborn session on Sunday and today I’m finally getting around to giving you all an update on how things are going in the Zahner house . . . pretty good actually.

First of all, Zoe and momma and both doing great.  They are indeed the two most beautiful ladies I know.  In fact, I was looking at Zoe the other night and I told Rachel, “I think you’re gonna have to do the discipline on this one.  I don’t know that I could ever scold her”.  My mother assures me I’ll change my tune as soon as she hits toddler-hood.  But for now, I’ll stick to my assertion that my daughter is the most beautiful newborn ever created and that she can do no wrong.

As far as Zane goes, everybody has been asking how he’s doing with his new little sister.  Actually . . .  he’s doing unbelievably well!  Seriously, Rachel and I never expected him to be sooo sweet and accepting (knocking on wood right now).  We really thought he’d see her as a threat to how much attention he gets and it hasn’t been that way AT ALL (It probably didn’t hurt that the first time Zane came to the hospital to see Zoe, “she” gave him a present to open.  I’m sure the new train set probably helped a little bit to win him over).  But honestly, he’s been very helpful around the house.  He went and got wipes and a diaper today while we were changing her.  He’s been holding Zoe and “petting” her and giving little kisses.  It has been really really sweet (see some of the video and pictures below if you don’t believe me)

Anyway, here is the video I put together today (to view it, you’ll have to visit the blog directly . . . just in case you’re reading this in your e-mail inbox because it won’t show up there).  And then below that are a few pictures from her newborn photo session.

***DISCLAIMER*** there is a small bit of somewhat graphic content at 1minute 50seconds into the video. If you are squeamish, you may want to close your eyes for about 10 seconds when it gets to that spot.

Yes – we do shoot nudes!

Assuming that the subject is 1-year old or younger of course.  This is Jackson Miller in his birthday suit.  Thanks for bringing him in this weekend Lindsay.  He’s super cute.

Beautiful baby Ansley

Sunday, March 28th, 2010

Sara and Colby Palisch brought their 3-month old, Ansley in for a session this weekend.  What a doll she was . . .  and so well-tempered.  I don’t think I heard her cry once in the entire time that they were here.

Thank you Sara and Colby for spending Saturday morning with us.  It was a joy meeting little Ansley.
