The Dotson Family

Wednesday, May 27th, 2009

This is the Dotson Family – Steve and Stacie and their 4-year old, Grant (who could just be the cutest kid ever).

They were a breeze to shoot.  So photogenic and natural in front of the camera.  Here are a few of my favs from their session (well maybe more than just a few – I have trouble deciding)

Parents as Teachers – Community Helpers Fair

Saturday, April 4th, 2009

Today I went to South Elementary for the Community Helpers Fair.  There were all different types of occupations represented, and I was there to show what a photographer does.  I took my camera and my lights and all kinds of other things so while I was there I took some free pictures of the children.

If you’d like to view or order any of those pictures, you can access the entire gallery by clicking here.

Nolan Kintner 1st Birthday Cake Shots

Tuesday, March 17th, 2009

Julie and Patrick brought their 1-year old, Nolan over for his 1st birthday session (I know . . . he doesn’t look one does he? Crazy how much hair this kid has). I have to say, these are some of the cutest cake shots we’ve gotten. Nolan was all about that cake! Here’s a collage of some favorites.

Zahner Family Fall Pictures

Sunday, November 23rd, 2008

Grandma Charlyn was in town today so after we got home from church we called her on her cell to ask if she would come do some fall pictures for us.  So of course, she said, “yes”.  It was a bit cold, but we toughed out the weather and went over to Klaus park (that’s the park right next to our house) and got some family pictures of the 3 of us.  Below are a few of our favorites:

Bodine Kids

Monday, November 10th, 2008

Susan Nothdurft’s daughter (Rebeccah Bodine) was in town so she brought her (and the grandkids) over for a studio session.  Below are some shots of Rebeccah and her two kids, Evan and Samme.  Cute bunch!

Landewee Family

Sunday, November 9th, 2008

Kim Landewee is the counselor at the Middle School (where I teach) and today we did a family session for her, her husband, Gerald and their son Thomas.  Kim has loads of personality at work so it was no surprise to me that her son was just as big a ham as she is.  Some of my favorite family shots from the year are from this session:

Julie and Patrick come over to the studio to do some Christmas pictures with their son, Nolan.  Below are a few from the session:

Sander Family

Sunday, November 2nd, 2008

We went to Bollinger Mill today and did a session with the Sander family.  This is the first time we’ve gone out to Bollinger Mill for a session and I’m sure it won’t be the last.  It’s really a beautiful location.

Flinn Family Photo Session

Thursday, October 30th, 2008

Flinn Family Photo Session . . . say that 5 times fast …

Thursday evening Rachel and I got to spend some time with the Flinn family (Amanda (mom), Andy (dad), Adler (12 months) and Ashton (4 yrs.))  Good looking bunch don’t you think?

It was a great day for a photo shoot.  Beautiful fall colors combined with a laid back, photogenic family helped to make for a very enjoyable session.

Lock (and McGuire) Family Photo Shoot

Saturday, October 25th, 2008

Way back in May of this year (May 30 to be exact), I did a newborn session for Tim and Sondra McGuire’s son, Ayden.  Today I did a session for Sondra’s entire family.

So really, today’s shoot was like 3 sessions in one:

  1. Engagement shots for Jen and Carl
  2. Family shots with everybody
  3. Shots of the kids
  4. and then all other combinations we could come up with.

Normally this would sound a bit overwhelming, but this family was one of the easiest large groups we’ve shot to date.  The kids were cooperative, the adults were pleasant (even the fellas), and everybody seemed happy to be there.  I must say I thoroughly enjoyed myself.
