Caleb & Whitney are getting married in March. Yesterday, we had the honor of shooting their engagement session. What a fun couple. I’m so excited for the wedding.
Here’s a few favorites from their e-session.

CloseBailey (our contest winner) and the other H.S. senior models will be here later today, so we’ll have shots of them soon, but for now, here are a few shots from a session we did at sunrise this morning. These are my friends Danny and Diane Rabalais from California. They had their honeymoon here in Cozumel 20 years ago so we got up at 4:30am this morning and hit the beach before the sunrise to get some killer, romantic shots of the two of them.
This year has been crazy busy with weddings. We’ve done 25 weddings total this year (6 in October alone – yowzer!) Anyway, we just haven’t had time to do sneak peeks for everyone so I apologize if you’re wedding didn’t make the blog. I’m gonna try and do better. So here’s a quick sneak peek from Marti and Wade’s wedding out at Water’s Edge in Gordonville. Marti (and her family) were a real hoot! We had a blast on a beautiful day with a totally fun and laid back couple.
Thanks Marti and Wade for asking us to be a part of your day.
I shot Holly Balsman and Nathan Moran’s wedding on May 22nd. They got married at Hermann Hill winery in Hermann, MO and it was a beautiful venue. I must say, we were all a little nervous because this wedding was on May 22 and Rachel’s due date was May 19th (and she hadn’t had the baby yet by wedding day) . . . so I was nervous and Holly was nervous and Nathan was nervous and my wife was nervous. I told Rachel when I left the house that she had to sit with her legs crossed all day and that Zoe was forbidden from entering the world on this date. Luckily for all, she waited a few more days and I got to be a part of Holly and Nathan’s beautiful day. I felt so honored.
For those of you wondering, I did have backup. Kris Gay with Bella Vita Studios in Fort Wayne, IN came up to help me shoot and she was going to be my backup in case I had to leave. Luckily, I didn’t and we got to shoot the whole wedding together. (Thanks Kris)
Finally, before I post the sneak peek images, I have to give a shout out to the videographer. He was absolutely INCREDIBLE!!! His name is Michael Gebben with Gebbs Wedding Films and not only is he amazingly talented, he is a super nice guy and was a pleasure to work with all day long. If you have a chance to check out Holly and Nathan’s 5 minute video, you should do it. You will be BLOWN AWAY! Not only is the video incredible, Michael produced it on the DAY OF THE WEDDING and showed it at their reception. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the house. You can check out their video here (it’s less than 5 minutes and totally worth your time) – http://vimeo.com/12011064
Now on with the pictures:
Gary and Amanda got married one month ago, but I’m just now getting around to posting their sneak peek (sorry for the delay). Gary might just be the biggest St. Louis Cardinal baseball fan I’ve ever met so where else would he and his bride get married other than Busch stadium? I’ve been to lots of baseball games at Busch stadium but I’ve never shot a wedding there (until last April of course). It was truly unlike any other wedding.
Thanks for asking Rachel and I to be a part of your special day.
Here are a few of my favorite images from the day.
Enjoy!
Amy Pohlman and Adam Thomas got married this past Saturday (May 1) and they certainly got lucky with the weather. Considering that it stormed the night before and it stormed the night after and they were calling for tornadoes and flash floods all day long. I would have been happy with 30 minutes of outside time and we didn’t see a drop of rain all day. It was great. Even better than the weather was the wedding itself. Amy and Adam are as sweet a couple you’ll ever meet. Their families were so awesome to work with and the wedding party was a hoot! We had a great time. Here’s a quick sneak peek from Adam and Amy’s special day.
This is Amy Pohlman and Adam Thomas. We shot their engagement session way back in October. I have to say I had a hard time choosing my favorites from this session. There were just so many good ones. The couple was good looking and photogenic, the weather was awesome (see the skies and the sunset in the pictures to see what I mean) and the location was great (we even had a pond and a dock that faced the sunset. It doesn’t get better than that.
Amy and Adam, we’re really looking forward to shooting your wedding in May.

We shot Mark Rademaker and Tia Meyer’s wedding a few weeks ago on Dec. 11 and then we went out and did a special session on the following day with just Mark and Tia (see the last 4 images). It was quite the chilly day, but Mark and Tia were both real troopers. Tia was even up for some of our “Trash the Dress” ideas. We had her lying on the ground and sitting on railroad tracks. It was really fun and we got some . . . dare I say . . . “sassy” shots (inside joke).
Here are some of our favorite images from their wedding.
Thanks again Mark and Tia for allowing us to be a part of your special day!
Rich and Becki got married on October 17 in Sikeston, MO. It was a very chilly day so we didn’t get any outside shots with the couple, but luckily the church they got married in was really quite beautiful and matched the colors of her wedding perfectly.
Even without being able to shoot outside, we got some incredibly beautiful pictures. Like most of our brides this year . . . Becki was soooo laid back and cool about everything. If you’ve ever seen the show, “Bridezillas” . . . she was the exact polar opposite of that. She just rolled with the punches and trusted us to do our job.
It was a great day and Rachel and I (and our assistants from Memphis, Rick and Sarah) were all honored to be a part of it.
Thanks for having us!
