CloseSo people are always telling me that I don’t post enough pictures of my own kids (mostly those people are their grandparents). Anyway, Zoe just turned 2 last Saturday so we took her and Zane out for a photo shoot this week to commemorate the big 02. Photographers across the country will tell you that your own children are the hardest ones to photograph. I’m here to tell you it’s absolutely true. Here are a few favorites of my kiddos!
This year has been crazy busy with weddings. We’ve done 25 weddings total this year (6 in October alone – yowzer!) Anyway, we just haven’t had time to do sneak peeks for everyone so I apologize if you’re wedding didn’t make the blog. I’m gonna try and do better. So here’s a quick sneak peek from Marti and Wade’s wedding out at Water’s Edge in Gordonville. Marti (and her family) were a real hoot! We had a blast on a beautiful day with a totally fun and laid back couple.

Well . . . not exactly. But does anybody else think that Kaley Horst from Jackson High School bears a striking resemblance to Taylor Swift?

Don Perry came over for his senior session this morning. Don’s an avid hockey fan and a devoted player. So it’s no surprise that over half of his images incorporated hockey into them.

Amy Pohlman and Adam Thomas got married this past Saturday (May 1) and they certainly got lucky with the weather. Considering that it stormed the night before and it stormed the night after and they were calling for tornadoes and flash floods all day long. I would have been happy with 30 minutes of outside time and we didn’t see a drop of rain all day. It was great. Even better than the weather was the wedding itself. Amy and Adam are as sweet a couple you’ll ever meet. Their families were so awesome to work with and the wedding party was a hoot! We had a great time. Here’s a quick sneak peek from Adam and Amy’s special day.
Assuming that the subject is 1-year old or younger of course. This is Jackson Miller in his birthday suit. Thanks for bringing him in this weekend Lindsay. He’s super cute.
Sara and Colby Palisch brought their 3-month old, Ansley in for a session this weekend. What a doll she was . . . and so well-tempered. I don’t think I heard her cry once in the entire time that they were here.
Thank you Sara and Colby for spending Saturday morning with us. It was a joy meeting little Ansley.
The JHS Cheerleading Squad came over for a session this evening. What a blast we had, and although my son is only 2, I’m pretty sure he’s in love with at least 4 or 5 of them.
Here’s a little sneak peek from their session.
This is Stephanie Smith. We shot her session back in October of last year, but I realized just the other day, I hadn’t posted any of her pictures on my blog. And that’s a shame cause there’s some really unique shots in here. It’s not every day that you get a girl this fun, with hair this red and this curly along side a car this cool!
The car you see in the pictures below is a one of a kind 1973 Motion Manta Ray Corvette. It actually belongs to Stephanie’s grandfather, Rayburn Pennington. It was one of only three ever built and this one is the only known survivor of those three in the entire world. So pretty cool, right? You can read more about the car by clicking here.

We’ve shot a lot of senior athletes this year . . . wait a minute . . . that makes it sound like we’ve shot 75 year old athletes. Not exactly what I meant.
