CloseSara and Colby Palisch brought their 3-month old, Ansley in for a session this weekend. What a doll she was . . . and so well-tempered. I don’t think I heard her cry once in the entire time that they were here.
Thank you Sara and Colby for spending Saturday morning with us. It was a joy meeting little Ansley.
Rich and Becki got married on October 17 in Sikeston, MO. It was a very chilly day so we didn’t get any outside shots with the couple, but luckily the church they got married in was really quite beautiful and matched the colors of her wedding perfectly.
Even without being able to shoot outside, we got some incredibly beautiful pictures. Like most of our brides this year . . . Becki was soooo laid back and cool about everything. If you’ve ever seen the show, “Bridezillas” . . . she was the exact polar opposite of that. She just rolled with the punches and trusted us to do our job.
It was a great day and Rachel and I (and our assistants from Memphis, Rick and Sarah) were all honored to be a part of it.

We’ve shot a lot of senior athletes this year . . . wait a minute . . . that makes it sound like we’ve shot 75 year old athletes. Not exactly what I meant.

Back in Oct. we shot Laura Ernst and Jesse Richardet’s wedding at their home/farm in Perryville. It was a beautiful day and for the reception, they set up the biggest tent I have EVER seen. Jesse and Laura were both so laid back and up for any idea we had. They were so great and totally fun. It really makes our job so much easier (and enjoyable) when the couple is relaxed and trust us and our ideas. Then as a result, they get some pretty awesome wedding pictures like the ones you’ll see below.

Back in September, we captured Shawn and Kim’s wedding day. I knew from their engagement session that the wedding would be a blast and they’d be great to work with. And I wasn’t disappointed. They were up for any and every crazy idea I had. I love it when brides trust me (regardless of how kooky my ideas might sound).
Anyway, I had hoped to have this sneak peek up several weeks ago, but we’ve been sooooo busy latey I hardly have time for sleep. Here’s a quick peek at what’s in store for when I get your entire gallery posted in a few weeks.
Let me start by apologizing to all of you faithful blog followers for the lack of posts in the past few weeks. My goal was initially to blog once a day, and then that goal went to three times a week and now I’m just struggling to play catch-up it seems lately. Anyway, we’ve been crazy busy with sessions over these past few weeks (scroll down to see some of our recent images)
Oh yeah and just an FYI, we now have a waiting list for the next 2 months. Yes . . . we’re booked solid through Thanksgiving so if you’re wanting a session, you’ll need to call early to book a date in December or you’ll need to call and get on the waiting list. I hate that we can’t fit everyone in who wants to book, but we are only a 2 person operation (no Zane doesn’t help much yet) and with trying to keep up with my teaching job, my family, and quite frankly . . . my sanity, we’ve had to start turning sessions away. Please don’t stop calling though. You never know when a date may open up. We love hearing from you.
