Caleb & Whitney are getting married in March. Yesterday, we had the honor of shooting their engagement session. What a fun couple. I’m so excited for the wedding.
Here’s a few favorites from their e-session.

CloseWe shot a session for Ashleigh Lawson a few weeks ago and her mother recently e-mailed us some kind words that I thought I’d share here on the blog. She writes:
—————————————
Just wanted to thank you for the excellent work you did with Ashleigh pictures. The pictures are amazing and Ashleigh really enjoyed the whole experience from make-up & hair to the photo shoot. You would not believe the positive comments we have received from family & friends who have seen Ashleigh’s pictures. We have seen a lot of Ashleigh’s friend’s senior pictures lately, some you did, some were done by other photographers and I can honestly say yours stand above them all. We have and will continue to sing your praises when the conversation allows. You truly do excellent work!

Thanks for the kind words Jeanette. It was truly our pleasure. Here are a few images from Ashleigh’s session.
It’s amazing how fast one year can go. As I write this, it’s hard to believe that exactly 12 months ago we were running around the house trying to get things together for our son’s arrival. Jan. 19 this year has been a much more calm and relaxed day than it was in 2008. We woke up early and had French Toast with Zane. He spotted his last birthday cupcake from the party and ate that too. (It’s his birthday. He can have a cupcake for breakfast if he wants to.)
Several times throughout the day, my thoughts have drifted toward Zane’s birth mother and I’ve considered what she must be feeling and thinking about. I’m sure it’s not easy, but I hope her mind is at peace that she made the right decision.
We ended the evening with a 1-year photo shoot in the studio and below you can see a few of our favorite images. Zane’s birthday party (which we held on Saturday, the 17th) was Superman themed. Therefore we revisited the Halloween costume for his 1-year pictures in addition to his birthday suit.
We hope you enjoy!
Today is Veteran’s Day and our High School Choir Department had it’s annual Veteran’s day assembly honoring the brave men and women who have sacrificed so much for our freedom to make this country what it is.
It was so moving and inspiring to see all of the men and women of our United States armed forces, both young and old, and to be able to give back to them a small part of what they’ve given to us.
There are a few pictures below from today’s assembly. If you’d like to see the full slideshow, you can visit this link.
OK everyone. The moment I know you’ve all been waiting for . . . before and after pictures from my weight loss journey. I’ve been holding off on posting these pictures for a long time because I’m a little self-conscious about it, but I think I’m finally ready to reveal what was once underneath the baggy clothes and more importantly, to reveal the rock hard chiseled physique that I have since acquired.
Are you ready for it? Ladies . . . do you think you can handle it? You might wanna get a fan and a towel because it’s about to get hot in here.
Scroll down to see the amazing transformation.

To this – oh yeah!!!
Ok. Sorry to disappoint. But did you really think I was gonna post shirtless pictures of myself. Not hardly. Although I will tell you that that really is my head in both pictures. The first picture was what my face looked like in January of 2008 and the second one is my head in Oct. 2008. So hopefully you can see the difference in my face.
I know what you’re thinking though . . . “So Tyson, how much have you lost?” Well, my scale would tell you 70 lbs. But I’m going to tell you I’ve lost 80 lbs. The scale says I weigh 215, but according to my last body fat test, I’ve gained about 10 lbs. of muscle since I started working out back in March. So I’ve lost 80 lbs. of fat total since March of this year.
I’d like to lose another 15 lbs and be under 200 lbs as my obtainable and sustainable goal. We’ll see if I can’t accomplish that by the end of the year. I’ll keep you posted (and maybe I’ll even muster up the courage to post some actual before and after pictures).
Alright – so I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted any personal or family updates (I know . . . a long time. I’m sorry – We’ve been busy!!). So this post will serve to show you several recent pictures from the last month or so. Then I plan to enter some backlogs of some important events that I never posted on (included will be photo and video).
And then . . . I promise to try and keep this thing updated for those of you who are interested in staying up to date. And with that – here are some recent pictures.
As many of you know from a previous entry in January, I had high hopes that Zane may have superpowers. Well in keeping with my aspirations for him, we got him a Superman costume this year. Turns out … I think maybe he does have some superpowers.
Granted . . . these pictures were not actually taken on Oct. 31, but it was his Halloween costume, and he went to a costume party on Oct. 19 so I’m including it in this post.
All right . . . back to the superpowers thing. 1st of all – as soon as we put the costume on him, he stood up on his own. He was sitting in the grass with nothing to pull up on and he just stood up. Everyone of us were in awe! I said, “it must be the costume”.
This may not seem quite so impressive, but what he did next is really amazing. Turns out . . . Zane can fly. See for yourself.
(Alright, he might have had a little help from his dad on that one.)
The rest of the day was spent with Rachel’s side of the family (it was cousin Pacey’s baptism that morning). So here are a few more pictures from the day.
Then we went to Katy St. John’s 2-year birthday party
Flinn Family Photo Session . . . say that 5 times fast …
Thursday evening Rachel and I got to spend some time with the Flinn family (Amanda (mom), Andy (dad), Adler (12 months) and Ashton (4 yrs.)) Good looking bunch don’t you think?
It was a great day for a photo shoot. Beautiful fall colors combined with a laid back, photogenic family helped to make for a very enjoyable session.
