Extreme make-over contest.

Wednesday, January 20th, 2010

Well . . . maybe not “Extreme“, but a make-over contest none-the-less.

Last week, the hair-stylist that we use for all of our H.S. seniors called me to ask if we would do some photos for a make-over competition that she’s entering.  She took a “before” picture on her cell phone, did the make-over, and then brought her over to our studio for some “after” shots.

We did the first picture in sort of a high-fashion style (kind of like what you’d see on America’s top model) and then we did the second shot in more of a 50′s pin-up style.

Below you will see all three pictures that are being submitted for the competition.  I think the transformation is pretty incredible.  Kudos to Danielle Moffitt at Elements salon in Cape Girardeau (she’s the stylist that did the make-over) and then also to our beautiful model, Stephanie Schmitz.

Something a little different – a commercial shoot

Friday, September 25th, 2009

We’re used to doing portrait photography, but every once in a while we get a call for something a bit different and you know me . . . I’m always up for a challenge.  Elements Salon and Boutique in Cape Girardeau needed some new images to update their website with and since we’ve been working closely together with my high school seniors (they’ve been making them look extra beautiful), they asked if I’d do new headshots of their staff and some product photography too.  You can visit their website to see the headshots, but here are a few of the other images that we took for their new website.

If you haven’t been to Elements Salon and Boutique (ladies!!!), you should really check it out.  They will pamper you like never before.

Check out their newly updated website for more details (I even hear there are some pretty cool pictures on there ;-)
